Hello, Welcome to House of Blogger.
Many times we need an image URL while website customization, we always need an image link if we want to put an image in theme XML.
Some bloggers use 3rd party image hosting services to get URLs, but we should use Blogger as an Image Hosting Service to load images fast.
Getting an Image link is in blogger too easy, I will share 2 methods that will allow you to get the image URL easily.
There are Two Possible ways to host an image and get a URL:
- By Layout
- By Post/Page Editor
Upload the Image from the layout and get the URL
This is an Easy method to get image URLs from blogger, even some blogger templates also add this method in their layout.
But, this method has 1 disadvantage you need to upload one-by-one images if you have multiple images.
So, I suggest you use this method if you want to get only one image URL at a time.
Follow these below steps to upload and get the image URL.
Steps:
Step 1: First of all Login into your Blogger Dashboard, and click on the Layout option.
Step 2: Click on the ‘add a gadget link.
Step 3: Now Select Image gadget.
Step 4: Now first Toggle off the Show this gadget, You can name this gadget like “Upload image here” for daily use.
Step 5: Now Upload the image from a mobile or computer, and save it.
Step 5: Now Again Open the Same widget, And you can see here the link to your uploaded image.
Upload the Image from the Post or the Page
This method is used by almost all bloggers, and it helps to get multiple image URLs in a single upload.
The method is the same as the previous method, you just need to upload an image to a page or post like you uploaded the image in a widget in the previous method.
So let’s look into it.
Step 1: First of all Login into your Blogger Dashboard, and go to the POST or Page Section.
I recommend you to Use a Page because we rarely go to the page section, so the draft page will not bother you.
Step 2: Create a New Page and Upload your image to the page.
Step 3: Now Click on Image and then Click on the Link icon on Toolbar, And Copy the image URL.
You can upload images in bulk in this method, and get image URLs of them.
Wrapping up
Both of the methods to get image URLs are simple, and you can use them according to your choice. I personally use the Layout method, and I have added an image widget named “Upload Image here.”
I Hope now you can easily get your image URLs without hosting images on a third-party website.
